This tv is freaking sweet, the cosmetics are merely superb....slim,sleek,sexy....that should say HDTV 3D all =p

Finally got the Samsung from Amazon once virtually two weeks. Slowest shipping I've seen in a very long term. i would rather pay many usd than wait weeks at no cost.

Initial impressions:
Picture Quality: Out of the box the image/brightness/backlight is extremely ""bright"" however varies greatly relying picture mode. Movie mode adjusts the image settings to terribly near the calibration settings for the C650 for movie watching (lcdbuyingguide calibration). I solely took 3-5 minutes calibrating every input for the devices i exploit and it took me many minutes to seek out game mode as it isn't in there with the image modes. terribly intensive image settings and five Auto Motion and modes with a Demo mode if you are not certain. Overall the image is pretty jaw dropping with my HD Cable to not mention Blu-ray.

Pros:
Great image with each high def and commonplace def photos. I love this TV. it's nice black levels while not losing details. Seriously the blacks get as dark because the bezel during a darkened area. nice color accuracy. Handles motion sort of a champ even changing 2nd to 3D. Menus are terribly responsive and even the widgets are snappy. Samsung Apps/Netflix works nice too. i'm very having fun with the 2nd to 3D conversion watching sports and taking part in video games. I am an a/v nut. My alternative TV could be a ten foot projector. i really like this TV. the image appearance fantastic. It makes my 60"" phillips I had look terrible. I even have not purchased the converter box for the 3d however it's returning soon. The audio is nice. The remote isn't nice however i exploit dish network's remote anyways.

There are some MINOR critiques. I will say is it takes over 10 seconds to start out up anytime you switch it on, for the projector within it to remove darkness from the bulb. You get used to it, and it's not a giant issue. the opposite issue is that the screen (which is incredibly sensible at not casting reflections with it's matte finish) is flat within the center however encompasses a slight crown within the corners, that is visible if you are looking for the matte reflection (as it's very well hidden, and solely seen once you seek for screen's reflection).

Pros:
Great image with each high def and normal def footage. The set offers lots of filtering and processing choices to require a coffee quality normal def signal and build it look pretty tight. If you watch lots of SD TV, this could build an honest set. Sound quality is healthier than I had expected. in depth options and choices. IPS panel, that is that the arguably the most effective kind of LCD panel. i really like the shiny screen, it's far better than the waxy look of matte screens. Reflections haven't been a tangle on behalf of me. Remote and menus work well.

Cons:
No analog audio out. Has two composite inputs however only one element input, which does not build a lot of sense since the composite inputs are outdated and appearance terrible. I researched several TVs before shopping for this one. I targeted on Plasma, LED, and LCD sets. I had settled on a 65inch plasma and visited the shop to buy one. the salesperson asked me if I had checked out DLP? I did not even grasp they still created DLP sets to be honest. i used to be terribly impressed with the image quality of the Mits DLP TVs. Then.......he showed me a soccer game in 3D on this set.....it was AWESOME! If you're a sports fan - do yourself a favor and attend a store and watch demo's on these TVs - it's such as you are at the event. throughout all viewing, the black levels and white levels are excellent and also the color is sharp and infinately adjustable. you'd have to be compelled to pay 2X-3X the maximum amount on a high finish plasma or LED to rival the image quality and 3D capability of the Mits 65838.

I ended up selecting the 838 model instead of the 738 as a result of the extra sound capability of the 838. As i used to be buying the flat panel TVs I noticed the sound was never excellent. the area we've got the TV in is pretty massive and that i would like sensible sound. once I bought the TV, Mits was throwing in a very free Polk subwoofer with purchase.
