Then.......he showed me a soccer game in 3D on this set.....it was AWESOME! If you're a sports fan - do yourself a favor and visit a store and watch demo's on these TVs - it's such as you are at the event. throughout all viewing, the black levels and white levels are excellent and also the color is sharp and infinately adjustable. you'd ought to pay 2X-3X the maximum amount on a prime finish plasma or LED to rival the image quality and 3D capability of the Mits 65838. I ended up selecting the 838 model instead of the 738 attributable to the extra sound capability of the 838.
