Customer Reviews : Panasonic TC-P42S2 This review is from: Panasonic TC-P42S2 42-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV (Electronics)
I've owned this for three days currently, and needed to attend till I totally tested it to write down a review. once seeing how it performs with videogames, blu-ray movies and basic cable, I feel i do know the tv enough to supply my thoughts.
Picture quality: unimaginable. Blacks are as deep because the bezel surrounding the TV. colours are daring - everything you'd expect from a prime of the road plasma. I own a 62"" DLP, a 26"" LCD, a 50"" panasonic 720p plasma and this plasma, and therefore the plasmas are the sole sets that actually ""pop."" HDTV 3D model is head and shoulders on top of even the 50"" 3-year-old model I own.
Video game play: there is a game mode, that bumps up the brightness and sharpness. It's nice for PS3 games. I've played Demon's Souls and Wolfenstein on it thus far, and each look wonderful. The system touts ""1080 lines of moving image resolution"" to assist with motion blur. Honestly, I never felt plasmas had a difficulty with motion blur to start with, thus i am unsure what quantity of a distinction this feature is creating, however from what I perceive in doing analysis it helps to own it.
Cable: HD appearance sensible - even the reds are not blown out. Basic cable is commonplace definition - a factor on it's resolution anyway, lol.
Aesthetics/connections: The TV is incredibly sharp wanting, and therefore the anti-glare feature on the S model (as hostile the U model) truly makes a distinction. I rolled my eyes after I scan the feature, however i am watching it within the daytime during a well-lit space and therefore the glare is basically minimal. the sole minor dissapointment is not any VGA
